Paperton.com, a Karlstad, Sweden-based online marketplace that gives publishers the opportunity to offer users digital access to their favorite magazines, has received an equity investment of undisclosed amount from ALMI Invest and Wingefors.
Paperton is already used by 50 titles, which distrubute their magazines on the platform. The company is built on a commission-based business model without direct cost for publishersThe company will use the funds to continue to grow and reach a leading market position. In the next few months, Paperton intends to close partnerships with other titles.
Founded in 2009, the company currently employs eight people.
