Eykona Technologies Completed £1.19M Equity Financing

Eykona Technologies Ltd, an Oxford, UK-based medical technology company, has completed a £1.19m investment round.
The financing was led by MTI Partners, through the UMIP Premier Fund (UPF), with participation from existing and new shareholders including H2O Venture Partners, Parkwalk EIS Technology Fund 1, Hygea VCT, the LBA Roundtable EIS Fund 2009 with three LBA investors and a number of other business angels.
Following the investment, Technikos LLP remains the largest shareholder.
The capital infusion will allow the company to develop its innovative 3D wound imaging system.
Eykona, which spun out from Isis Innovation Ltd, the University of Oxford’s wholly-owned technology transfer company in 2007, intends to launch its first product, consisting of proprietary software and a purpose-designed camera, in Europe and the US next year.
