Expensify Secures $5.7m in Series A Financing

Expensify, Inc., a San Francisco, CA-based developer of a service that enables users to import expenses and receipts from credit cards and mobile phones, secured $5.7m in Series A financing.
The round was led by Redpoint Ventures, with participation from all existing investors Hillsven Capital, Baseline Capital, and Travis Kalanick.
In conjunction with the financing, Redpoint founding partner Tim Haley has joined Expensify’s board of directors.
Expensify allows users to import of 94% of all US credit cards. Besides directly importing expenses, the company provides the opportunity to add expenses using iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, or Palm Pre mobile expense applications.
