DataSphere Technologies Raises $10M Series C Funding

DataSphere Technologies, a Bellevue, WA-based provider of hyperlocal web technology and sales solutions for media companies, has raised a $10m series C round of funding.
The investment was led by OVP Venture Partners, which joins existing backers Ignition Partners and Fisher Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: FSCI).
The funds will be used to accelerate the build-out of community websites and further enhance product offerings.
DataSphere provides media companies with technology and hyperlocal ad sales solutions to improve website monetization and visitor experience. Its network of websites includes Gannett, Raycom Media, LocalTV LLC, Fisher Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: FSCI) and Hubbard Broadcasting.
Over the last 12 months, the company has experienced a significant growth, closing agreements with other media companies and adding over 150 new employees.
A further 150 new hires are expected by the end of the year.
