Lumenergi Inc., a Newark, California-provider of energy efficient networked lighting systems, closed a $12.7m series B round of financing.
The round was led by Braemar Energy Ventures, with participation from new investor Townsend VC LLC and existing investors Low Carbon Accelerator Ltd. and Noventi Ventures.
In conjunction with the funding, Dennis Costello of Braemar Energy Ventures has joined Lumenergi’s board of directors.
The financing will help the company expand into large-scale commercial and industrial buildings in energy intensive regions and enable the build-out of a team of sales, marketing and customer service experts.
Lumenergi’s lighting management system enables building owners and managers to monitor and optimize building-wide lighting energy usage in real time. This solution provides the right amount of light precisely when and where it is needed, improving occupant comfort and control and reducing energy costs.
