eegoes, LLC, a Boston, MA-based operator of a social network that allows users to enjoy discussions around their areas of interest and exchange links, videos, photos, has raised an undisclosed amount of additional funding.
New investors include Fatima Hanich and Panamean company Coliseum International SA.
In conjunction with the funding, the company has added Mrs Fatima Hanich as Chief Financial Officer and announced the launch of its latest new features, Groups and Tags.
“Groups” are designed to allow users to create a shared space, themed around a common area of interest or specific topic for discussion. “Tags” enable users to specify keywords to associate with their content, profile, or groups so that people, images, videos, can all be searchable by area of interest.
The social network is still in private beta and the team is focused on testing and debugging the latest new features prior to the public launch, which is scheduled for mid-September 2010.
