Apica Raises SEK9M from Almi Invest and KTH Chalmers Capital

Apica, a Solna, Sweden-based provider of web performance products, has raised SEK9m (approximately €1m) in new venture capital from ALMI Invest and KTH Chalmers Capital.
The new funds will be used primarily to speed up the roll out of the company’s web performance products on the international market. In addition, Apica wants to strengthen its market position in Sweden, and increase its marketing and sales functions and activities.
The company’s product suite tests, analyses, monitors and improves web performance for companies and organisations. Clients include Apoteket (Sweden’s National Pharmacy), Sergel Kredittjänster, SMHI, TV4, SEMA (the Swedish Emergency Management Agency), Avanza and Posten/Strålfors.
Apica operates sales offices in UK and the USA.
ALMI Invest and KTH Chalmers Capital each invest SEK4.5m in a private placement.
