FireFly LED Lighting, Inc., an Austin Texas-based provider of “Smart LED” light bulbs for direct replacement of incandescent and fluorescent bulbs, raised over $300,000 in its series A funding round.
Investors include Central Texas Angel Network (CTAN) and Concho Valley Angel Network (CVAN).
Austin Technology Incubator-based FireFly LED Lighting will use the funding to accelerate its engineering and manufacturing processes established in Texas. In addtion, the funds will enable initial demonstration projects and sales.
Formed in 2009, the company has designed low energy, low heat LED light bulbs, fixtures and lighting products for general illumination and other applications.
