The European Investment Bank (EIB) and Veneto Banca Group signed a €150m finance agreement aimed at supporting projects to be carried out by Italian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).The loans will be provided the banks of the Group including Popolare di Intra, Claris leasing, Banca Apulia and Cassa di risparmio di Fabriano e Cupramontana.
Each SME project, which will be assessed and selected by the above mentioned banks, will be eligible for finance of up to €12.5m.
Under the terms of the agreement, Veneto Banca Group will provide SMEs with funds that will match the EIB’s contribution, bringing the total amount made available to €300m.
