CrowdPark Closes Series A Funding Round with Earlybird

CrowdPark, a Berlin, Germany-based portal for social forecasting and social betting, closed a “mid single-digit million” Series A financing round with Earlybird.

The new capital will be used to launch a multi-lingual Facebook and mobile application and to continue to develop the web-based gaming platform.
Founded in 2009, CrowdPark is a social forecasting game that offers players the chanche to bet on future outcomes of any event, including sports, science, society, technology, with virtual currency. In addition to editorial content, users can also create topics to bet on and share them with friends and other users. They can also place and change their bets continuously even while the event is still going on.
Since its inception, CrowdPark has been funded by its founders Martin Frindt, Ingo Hinterding, Aleksandar Ivanov and Sascha Stürze and other business angels.
