Scientific Conservation Raises $4M in Series A Round

Scientific Conservation Inc., a Berkeley, CA-based provider of energy efficiency and system optimization solutions for the commercial building market, has raised $4m from The Westly Group.

The financing is part of a Series A round, in which Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ) already invested $5m.

This funding will help the company continue to develop its suite of products, including the software-as-a-service (SaaS)-delivered Automated Continuous Commissioning (ACC) platform, which helps commercial buildings reduce their carbon footprint and consume less energy, by automatically detecting system faults before major costly problems occur.

In conjunction with the funding, Gary Dillabough of The Westly Group will join SCI’s board of directors.
The company also operates a technology center in Atlanta, GA.
