RockYou Raises $10m from SoftBank

RockYou, a Redwood City, CA-based provider of solutions to engage customers through social applications, has raised an additional $10m in a round of funding from SoftBank.
This round, which follows a $50m Series D funding from SoftBank in November of 2009, brings the total amount the company has raised to date to $127m. 
Investors include Lightspeed Venture Partners, DCM, Partech International, Sequoia Capital, and SK Telecom. 
Through its social application-based advertising network, RockYou provides branding and promotional products including standard IAB banner placements, Deal-of-the-Day ads, and other customized solutions.
The company also acquired a majority of the shares in RockYou Asia, a social and mobile application developer providing entertainment tools and social applications aimed at promoting interactive communication among users in Asian Countries such as Japan, Korea, and China. Games include RockYou Battle Monsters, Umajin RockYou, Hug Me, Crime World, Usaru Biyori, and Speed Racing.
