Sipera Systems, Inc., a Richardson, TX-based provider of comprehensive privacy, security and control across the range of enterprise Unified Communications (UC) applications, including VoIP, video, messaging, collaboration and others, has closed a $10m funding round.
The investment was led by S3 Ventures, and includes participation by existing investors Austin Ventures, Duchossois Technology Partners (DTEC), Sequoia Capital, and STAR Ventures.
The funding brings the total amount Sipera has raised to date to $48m.
The capital infusion will help the company advance its smartphone UC security solutions and UC-Sec enterprise UC security product family, increase sales efforts in Asia, Europe and South America, and support an expanded reseller partner program.
