OB Hospitalist Group, Inc., a Greenville, SC-based provider of comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology hospitalist services to hospitals across the United States, has received an undisclosed minority investment from Summit Partners.The company will use the funding to enhance the level of its service, and to further develop its infrastructure and depth of management support. Commenting on the investment, David Swain, Chief Executive Officer of the company, said, “Our partnership with Summit Partners will allow us to accelerate plans to bring this level of care to an increasing number of patients and partner hospitals”.
Founded in 2006, OB Hospitalist Group has established a national network of more than 600 board-certified physicians who form dedicated teams that provide hospitals with 24/7 in-house Ob/Gyn coverage.
In conjunction with the investment, Mark deLaar, a Principal with Summit Partners, will join OB Hospitalist Group’s board of directors.
The company currently partners with client hospitals throughout the United States, with current locations in California, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, New York, North Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Washington.
