DOTGO Raises Funding

DOTGO, a New York-based provider of a mobile publishing platform, completed an undisclosed Series A financing.
The round was led by EPIC Ventures and TomorrowVentures.
The financing will be used to enhance and promote DOTGO’s mobile publishing platform, which allows companies or web sites to offer mobile services, focusing on text messaging.
In conjunction with the funding, Chris  Stone, Managing Director of EPIC Ventures, and Court Coursey, Managing Partner of TomorrowVentures, have joined the company’s board of directors.
DOTGO was founded in 2007 by Kenneth M. Lanzetta, a professor of Physics and Astronomy at Stony Brook University, and Stefan Gromoll, a former graduate student in astrophysics at Stony Brook University. The development of the company has been also funded by the National Science Foundation.
