BlockChalk, a mobile social networking service, has raised a “significant round of seed financing”.
Investors include Battery Ventures, Mitch Kapor, Harrison Metal, Founder Collective, Joshua Schachter, Josh Stylman, Tom McInerney, and David Liu.
The funding, whose amount remained undisclosed, will be used “to build the next generation of BlockChalk and accelerate our vision, which is to help people connect with their neighbors and mobilize their local communities”, the blog of the company reported.
To reach its target “to make your neighborhood a little bit better, one block at a time”, BlockChalk is hiring experienced iPhone developers and server-side engineers.
