StorSimple Reveals Completion of $8M Series A Finnancing in June 2009

StorSimple, a Santa Clara, CA-based developer of an application-optimized hybrid storage controller for SharePoint, Exchange, Windows User Files & Virtual Machines, undisclosed that, in June 2009, it had closed an $8m Series A financing. 
The round was led by Satish Dharamraj of Redpoint Ventures and Bernard Dalle of Index Ventures.
In conjunction with that funding, Jayshree Ullal, CEO of Arista Networks and Mike Volpi of Index Ventures joined Guru Pangal, President and co-founder at StorSimple, Ursheet Parikh, CEO and co-founder, Dharamraj and Dalle on the company’s board of directors.
StorSimple’s controller enables enterprises to securely integrate public and private cloud storage services with their existing on-premise deployments of mainstream enterprise applications.
