Mason Dixon Energy (MDE), a Bridgeport, WV-based provider of land services to oil and gas companies east of the Mississippi, has received an undisclosed investment from Hudson Ferry Capital.
For its clients in the exploration and production, pipeline and electrical power distribution industries, MDE provides land services including acquisition of leases, surface rights and rights of way as well as related title research, title abstracting and title curative services.
The investment marks the promotion of Asa Bowers, formerly Vice President, to President of MDE. In this role he will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company.
Greg Zerkel, founder, has assumed the role of Chairman of the Board where he will focus a significant portion of his time on business development and corporate growth opportunities.
Commenting on the investment, Hudson Ferry Capital Partner Timothy Ross, was quoted as saying: “MDE is the premier provider of land services in its geographic region.
We see substantial opportunities to both broaden its geographic reach as well as to increase MDE’s service offerings”.
