Travian Games GmbH, a Munich, Germany-based provider for browser-based online games, acquired the equity shares held by investors in northworks Software GmbH.
Selling investors include High-Tech Gründerfonds, DuMont Venture and bAV Consult.
northworks Software, located in Hamburg, also provides browser-based sports games. Its portfolio includes “goalunited” and “Ballersunited”.
Commenting on the transaction, Florian Bohn, Managing Director of Travian Games, said: “We are very happy about this acquisition.
“Online sports games are very much in fashion, and we are very pleased to be setting a clear trend together with northworks in this fast-growing market”.
