Carbon Reduction Technology Raises £300K in Seed Funding

Carbon Reduction Technology (CRT), a Sowerby Bridge, UK-based start up which has developed an innovative LED street lighting system that uses up to 75% less electricity than traditional sodium street lights, has raised £300,000 in seed funding from angel investors Ewin Woodward Development (EWD).
The investment will support the expansion of the company’s current manufacturing facility and the extension of the current “e-lamp” product range.
“e-lamp” is the microprocessor – patented by CRT – which makes the light more efficient.
EWD, which are members of the Yorkshire Association of Business Angels, have also been providing CRT with business support as the company transforms from a research and development start up to a full scale manufacturing company.
