According to a post appeared on December, 31st, 2009, on the company’s blog, Whiskey Media LLC, a Sausalito, CA-based operator of websites such as ComicVine, GiantBomb and AnimeVice, confirmed the news (from PE Hub) that it has received $2.5m in equity financing.
The post, which titles “We’ve raises a bit of money” said that this round of funding will provide the company with the capital to launch more sites and hire more great people.
It also added that “The last two years have been an absolute blast, and we are even more excited about our next phase. We believe that we are at the center of a new wave of publishing that is socially-centered, and is also in the truest sense authentic to its category”.
