The company provides Web application developers who have to keep up with frequent new browser releases with Selenium, a solution addressing the problem of functional testing crucial to application performance.
As stated by John Dunham, CEO of Sauce Labs, the company plans to use the funds to make Selenium easier to use by a wider audience.
For this reason, Sauce Labs also announced that it has released Sauce IDE*, an enhanced and certified version of its Selenium IDE* open source record and playback system, which allows individuals not comfortable with writing code the ability to do automated cross-browser functional testing.
