Lucid Design Group, Inc., an Oakland, CA-clean tech software company focused on developing real-time energy monitoring and display systems for commercial buildings, completed a $1.5m Series A funding.
The investment was led by Dry Creek Ventures of Healdsburg, CA.
According to Michael Murray, Lucid CEO, the funding culminated a 2009 of substantial growth and achievement in wich the company grew its customer base, announced a low-cost version of the Building Dashboard product, launched a reseller program aimed to broaden markets and participated in a number of projects that gained nationwide recognition.
Building Dashboard, Lucid’s hosted software, now in its third generation, provides a web-based display that offers real-time feedback on building resource use.
In 2009, the company introduced Building Dashboard Starter®, which provides a low-cost, entry-level solution that can be installed relatively easily and will work with nearly all existing electrical and metering systems. It consists of electricity monitoring for two buildings, a competition module and educational features.
