Hibernia Atlantic Receives $13.4M Investment from Constellation Growth Capital

Hibernia Atlantic, a Summit N.J.- and Dublin, EIRE-based transAtlantic high bandwidth connectivity provider, received a $13.4m investment from Constellation Growth Capital, a growth equity investor.
The company operates a submarine cable and terrestrial fiber network that offers over 92 redundant network Points of Presence (POPs) throughout Canada, US, UK and mainland Europe on over 24,000 kilometers of network. The investment provides Hibernia with capital to increase its network Points of Presence in North America and Europe.
Under the terms of the transaction, Clifford Friedman of Constellation will join Hibernia Atlantic’s Board of Directors.
Hibernia, whose remaining shares are owned by Columbia Ventures Corporation (CVC), recently acquired MediaXstream, a provider of high quality transport and managed network services for the media production and broadcast industries.
