Graphic.ly, a Boulder, CO-based community where members can both purchase and discuss comic books with each other, creators and publishers, completed its over $1m Series A funding round.
The round was led by DFJ Mercury, with participation from Starz Media, LLC, Northstar Equity Investors, GC&H Investments LLC, as well as individual contributors including David Cohen, Chris Sacca, Jake Nickell, Paige Craig and Dave McClure.
The funds will be used to expand development and marketing efforts and begin work on content partnerships.
Graphic.ly‘s first product, which focuses on comic publishers, creators and enthusiasts, provides a social experience and marketplace around digital comics and associated merchandise.
