France, Private Equity Firms Support the Acquistion of Coverpla

Coverpla, a Nice, France based manufacturer of perfumery and cosmetic packaging has been acquired by Bruno Diépois, former President of the Société Parisienne d’Impression et de Cartonnage (SPIC).
Mr. Diépois has been supported from private equity firms Avenir Entreprises, Société Générale Capital Partenaires and BNP Paribas Développement.
Coverpla divides its activities into four departments: glass bottles; stopping accessories; plastic bottles and jars; and decoration. In 2009, the company reached a turnover of €11.8m, 50% of which is realised abroad, where it has a recognised brand.

According to a press release, Mr. Diépois intends to create new products and seek new markets in order to further develop the business in France and abroad.
