Whitfield Solar Ltd, a UK developer of solar energy technology, received a £2.7m investment co-led by Carbon Trust Investments Ltd and a private syndicate of new investors.
Existing investors, the Cascade Fund and Kilsby Ltd, participated in the financing.
The new capital will be used to develop the business, expanding the company’s workforce in Spain and extending its sales strategy in both existing and emerging solar markets in Europe (Portugal, Greece, Italy) and Asia-Pacific (Australia) for near term sales.
