UK, Monumental Games Receives £2M Equity Financing

Monumental Games, a Nottingham, UK-based online games developer, has recived a £2m investment from Maven Capital Partners, via the Government-backed Capital for Enterprise Fund.

The funds will enable the company to develop its technology and hire new professionals.

Formed by industry veterans Rik Alexander (CEO) and Rocco Loscalzo (CTO) in 2005, Monumental Games has won over £400,000 of awards for R&D from EMMedia and the Technology Strategy Board.

The company today employs over 80 full-time staff in its offices in Nottingham and Manchester.
