The American Academy Raises $5.9M in Series B Financing

The American Academy, a Salt Lake City-based online high school and educational services provider, has raised $5.9m in a Series B financing.

The funding round was led by Austin Ventures, with participation from existing investor vSpring Capital.
The new capital will enable the company to further accelerate its growth in the online education market.
In making the announcement of the funding, Gregg Rosann, President and CTO of the company, was reported as saying: “This funding will allow us to expand our products and services in the coming months, offering school districts of all sizes affordable, practical online learning solutions”.
The American Academy offers more than 230 courses supported by state-licensed teachers. It operates in 43 US states and 8 countries.
