HiBeam Internet & Voice, a Chesterfield, MO-based provider of broadband services to residential, small and medium business, and local government, announced that it raised an undisclosed additional amount of seed funding from private investors.
Both existing and new investors participated in this funding.
The new capital will be used to continue to deploy 4G wireless into rural and semi-rural markets.
HiBeam, which currently provides WiMAX service to customers in rural St. Louis and Peoria, Illinois, will launch services in Mt. Vernon/Marion, IL, and Joplin, MO in early 2010 with additional markets to rapidly follow.
