Energy Ventures expands into Brazil

Energy Ventures, an independent venture capital firm focused on high-growth oil and gas technology companies, is expanding into Brazil to look for new investment opportunities.
Brazil operations will be led by Roberto Paschoalin, Executive Director of Paschoalin Ltda, and Erik Hannisdal, Managing Partner of Inventure Management.
In addition, Energy Ventures has expanded the international reach of its Advisory Board with:
– Jorge Camargo, a longtime leader at Petrobras,
– Vik Rao, a oilfield services technology innovator at Halliburton, and
– Dr Foo Kok Seng, deputy director of Keppel Offshore & Marine Technology Centre.
Energy Ventures is headquartered in Stavanger, Norway, with offices in Aberdeen, U.K. Its portfolio includes 16 companies developing a range of proprietary upstream technologies. The firm manages and advises four oil and gas venture funds with a combined capital base of $420m.
