Komutel Inc., a Canadian manufacturer of integrated telecommunications solutions for business, acquired ConverTec Inc, a Burlington, Ontario-based telecommunication software developer.
The transaction will allow Saint Georges de Beauce-based Komutel to expand its global distribution network and client base in Canada, the United States and Europe.
According to Richard Poulin, president of Komutel, "This is a natural add-on to Komutel's know-how, which translates into opportunities for increased productivity and performance for all users of our integrated solutions.
"With this acquisition, we create a new growth path for our enterprise", he said.
The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.
