BridgeCo Inc., a El Segundo, CA-based provider of network media processors and related software, middleware and software design kit (SDK) solutions for enabling network and internet connectivity for consumer electronics, raised $7.5m in equity funding.
The round of financing was led by existing investor Earlybird Venture Capital and private investor, Christian Wenger, along with a new private investor, Brian Long, a General Partner with Atlantic Bridge.
In conjunction with the funding, Mr Long will also join BridgeCo’s Board of Directors as Chairman.
As also stated by the CEO of the company, Gene Sheridan, the funds will enable the BridgeCo to accelerate technology development, support growth and fund expansion of its customer base.
The company also has operations in Bangalore, India as well as sales offices and a distributor network throughout the world.
