10:33 AM | , , , ,

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is increasing the availability of financing for Albanian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with a €2m medium-term credit line to Union Bank.

The proceeds will be used to provide working capital and capital investment financing for SMEs across the country and thus implement the bank's strategy to further expand its network and increase its lending activities.

Established in 2005, Union Bank is a privately-owned universal bank with a strong regional network, operating throughout Albania via 31 branches.

The EBRD holds a 12.5% stake in the bank.
