Cogenta Systems, a Windsor, UK-based price comparison website, raised £800,000 in equity financing.
Investors include venture capital firm Hotspur Capital Partners, which invested £450,000, and Newcastle-based NorthStar Equity Investors (NSEI), which invested £350,000.
Cogenta Systems has developed a technology for gathering product price and information, allowing to monitor approximately 3m prices a day from high street retailers.
The funds will be used to approach other European markets and the recently opened office in Newcastle will be used as a base for this expansion.
